MINDREADING - not without prior IC interaction and OOC discussion.
Sam wasn't created with any specific canon in mind, though she could fit in with anything that more or less has a "real world" setting. She's very normal, by default, nothing superhuman or supernatural about her at all. I do have Marvel AU ideas for her, and I'm open to playing her in certain sci-fi or fantasy settings with AU conditions.
At some point I think I'll make a more comprehensive list of preferred canons to write her in, so look out for that.
As far as other OCs go, I am of course very open to other original characters! Just... usually not the supernatural/magical types, lol. I'm also highly choosy about cross-medium. I prefer live-action characters, or "realistic" animated ones. Anime and more cartoonish things can be fine, but I don't feel comfortable interacting with very young-looking (to me) characters regardless of their canon age or the context of the interaction. Also due to the nature of Sam's character and the difficulty in getting her to play well with non-humans/magical stuff, I'm going to be very choosy about inter-species interaction. If it's something I think she can vibe with, I'll give it a shot. If not, again, nothing personal.
The good news is, it's getting easier for me to write her in these kinds of settings and with these kinds of characters. It's still something I'm playing by ear, because I'm still having just a little trouble throwing her into every situation. But this is definitely something that has improved for me!
I cannot stress this enough - you are always welcome to ask. I'm very accessible.

Outside of those circumstances, she does not play with magical and supernatural settings well. Vampires, werewolves, monsters, witches, any kind of "urban fantasy" I guess, has not worked very well - but it's something I'm willing to work on. I'm willing to try if there's chemistry in the threads.
I will try to always label things accordingly and make it very clear what will work for her when I'm posting her top-level to any given meme, if I feel any such clarifications are necessary. I'm also always open to any questions about this, or about Sam in general. Feel free to comment here (comments will be screened), or send a private message.
